
Dr. Patricia Nwaefuna, DNP, PMHNP, APRN, FOWEP
Founder/CEO
Dr. Patricia is the founder and CEO of Mind healthcare. She is a dedicated psychiatry mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of impactful experience working with the mental health population.
She obtained her first degree in Nursing, from University College Hospital (UCH) Nigeria. Bachelor of science in nursing at Grand Canyon University, Phoenix Arizona USA. Masters/Doctoral degree in psychiatric mental health, at State University at Buffalo NY. She completed her fellowship in Opioid addiction and a fellow in Opioid Workforce Expansion Program (FOWEP) of Western NY. She is a member of American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
Dr. Nwaefuna is a Nigerian- African American, a wife and mother with a heart of gold, who believes that one of the human rights and social justice is equity in health care. She’s trained to treat wide array of mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, eating disorder, and also provides MOUD, among others.
Dr. Nwaefuna is culturally competent and morally sensitive to her patients’ needs and feelings. Her philosophy of care includes integrity, compassion, respect, and accountability. Her passion includes instillation of hope and serving the impoverished.
